Statement of Faith of LLPM

MINISTRY’S STATEMENT OF FAITH

The teachings, apostolic, prophetic, pastoral & evangelistic missions of LLPM shall be in full conformity to the truth of Christianity as contained in the Holy Scriptures. These include:

  • The triune God, the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.
  • The Bible is God’s divinely inspired word.
  • The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption & final judgment.
  • The incarnation of Jesus Christ, the son of God begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary, being true God & true man, sinless, died on the cross, rose on the third day & is now alive & reigns on high.
  • Man is a sinner by nature, & fallen short of God’s glory, requires salvation & can find this through confessing sin & believing in Jesus Christ. Rom 3:23
  • It is God’s will for all believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:4.
  • Healing, deliverance & restoration is provided for in the redemptive work of Christ & is available to everyone who believes. Luke 4: 18-19, John 1:12
  • All Christians would grow in the Lord through the study of God’s word, prayer, fellowship & renewing of the mind. Romans 12:2
  • Miracles, signs & wonders wrought in & through believers by the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I Corinthians 12 & Mark 16:20.
  • Effective world evangelism & missionary work in accordance to the great commission of our Lord Jesus. Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18 & Rev 14:6.
  • The five fold ministry in which the gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifested & operate for perfecting of the saints & the entire body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12.
  • The Christian blessed hope, the imminent personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 4:16-17.
  • The resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the born again & the eternal punishment of the non-born-again. Rev 14:13, Ps 116:15, Rom 6:23.
  • The universal Church to which all true & born again Christians belong. 1 Cor 12:12-31
  • The paying of tithes, collection of offerings & the giving of alms to the poor & donations. Malachi 3:8-12, Proverbs 19:17 & Proverbs 21:13.
  • The unity of all believers in Christ. Psalms 133, John 17:21-22.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Membership shall be extended to all persons who have made a personal commitment and confession to Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord, who have publicly declared their commitment to Christ through baptism by immersion after salvation and who agree to perform the duties of members as stated in the constitution. The vision bearer or a board member or committee appointed by the board shall interview all applicants for ministry membership and submit the qualified persons to the board for approval.
