KEY PRINCIPLES ON WHICH LLPM WORKS AND OPERATES

*      The presence of the Holy Spirit: nothing significant happens without a persuasive long term commitment to God’s word, prayer and dependence upon the Holy Spirit. We believe in a profound sense of reliance on God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

*      Unconditional commitment to Christ: we are very ready to serve Christ above everything else in the world. We are ready to pay the price and bear any cost that obedient discipleship demands. We believe that total surrender to Christ is a wonderful way to live and experience both fantastic joy and concrete success.

*      Passion for evangelism: friendship evangelism expressed in a genuine concern for the whole person is the preferred way. We believe that unless people are converted, little long term change occurs. I Corinthians 2:3-5.

*      Concern for the needy: especially orphaned and street children and youth. Job 29:12-17, Isaiah 61:1-3, Jeremiah 22:16, Matthew 25:31-40, Luke 4:16-19. We believe in ministering to both the person’s physical and spiritual needs. III John 2. We believe that Jesus’ Gospel is the good news of the kingdom of God that transforms the believer’s relationship with God, neighbours, self and the entire community. We believe that the best way to minister to people is by staying closer to them. John 4:40-41.

*      Consciously chosen projects: to enable committed Christians develop.

*      Partnership with the larger body of Christ: in order to serve God and His people effectively and efficiently in an excellent way.

EVANGELISM

SCRIPTURES THAT MOTIVATE US TO BE PASSIONATE FOR THE GOSPEL

  • We believe that the heart beat of God is the lost and suffering souls all over the globe (Exodus 3:7-8). Since the beginning of the world God had a divine plan of redeeming mankind. John 10:10
  • We believe in helping the poor as it was in the early church. Galatians 2:10: they desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.
  • There’s no way mankind can be saved unless they are told. Isaiah 52:7, Ezekiel 33:7-16 & Romans 10:13-15.
  •  1 John 3:16: by this we know love because Jesus laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
  •  2 Timothy 4:5: but you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry.
  •   Romans 1:16: for I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for every one who believes.
  • Matthew 24:14: and this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the entire world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.
  •  Mark 16:15: and he said to them, go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

  • Revelation 14:6: then I saw another Angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting Gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, tongue and people.
  • Proverbs 11:30: …. He that wins souls is wise. James 5:20 & Daniel 12:3
  • Titus 2:11: for the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.
  • Romans 15:20: and so have made it my aim to preach the Gospel…..
  • 1 Corinthians 9:16: for if I preach the Gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me, yes, woe is me if I do not preach the Gospel.
  • 2 Corinthians 10:16: so that we can preach the Gospel in regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in another man’s territory.
  • Acts 20:24: but none of these things move me, nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the Gospel of the grace of God.
  • We believe in revival in which tremendous conversions and transformation of souls and societies will result. For example considering the revivals caused by men and women like David Brainerd, John and Charles Wesley, John Knox, Kathryn Kulman, Maria Woodworth Etter, Evan Roberts, Charles Finney, Jonathan Edwards, E.M Bounds, Smith Wigosworth, Charles Spergion, extra which resulted into transformations of lives and entire societies.

SIGNIFICANCE OF REVIVAL AND WHY THE MINISTRY EMPHASIZES IT

  •  A revival that will make heaven & hell, Calvary & resurrection, salvation from sin, cleansing through the blood, and the gift of the Holy Spirit living realities.
  • A revival that will turn the professed people of God back from their idols of sin and worldliness to serve the only true living God.
  •   A revival in that the Word of God will be preached without compromise or apology in the power of the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven.
  •   A revival that will overthrow sin of every kind, popular as well as unpopular.
  • A revival that will sweep away worldly amusements and abolish every ungodly scheme.
  •  A revival that will take people out of their worldly clubs, secret lodges and put them into the secret place of the Most High God.
  •  A revival like a flood that will sweep away the refuge of lies.
  •   A revival that will make the church and the world to realize the shortness of time and the importance of eternity.
  • A revival that has so much of heaven and so much of God’s glory in that the world will be compelled to see and feel its mighty influence.
  • A revival in which the presence of God will be so much revealed that multitudes will fall under the power of God and cry for mercy as they did on the day of Pentecost.
  •  A revival that like a tornado will sweep away all dried up sermons, all formal prayers, all the lifeless singing and like a whirlwind will carry everyone that comes in its path heaven wards.
